Had a good time exploring 2 nice old sites. The one site was an old sugar beet refinery from 1900. Huge place, locked up real tight so no vandalism or graffiti at all. The place was very clean and really didn't have much in. The lighting coming in from the windows was fantastic in here though. I got a lot of nice black and whites from this site. It had a unique feature...an elevator that had a mechanical system to open the doors between floors:
After that we went to another site. This had been a Trolley Line system power plant. This also was a large massive building, but this building had seen better days. For the past 50 years or so it was used as another facility. The owner asked that I not reveal any of the locations. The brickwork inside was beautiful. Here's a shot of the "Explorers" of that day (note the brickwork for the circular window and the arches):
This is the first shot that is available for purchase from that shoot: http://bit.ly/10xHJgD
That's all for now!
